Mystery and Sacrament - September 28th

NEW DATE
The Wednesday evening service and study will begin September 28th at 7pm

What is a Sacrament? How many Sacraments are there? Where do they come from? What do they mean?

Our new weekday worship and discussion series will attempt to answer these questions and more. Every Wednesday we will gather for a service of Holy Eucharist at 7 pm, followed by a discussion about Sacraments and the Life of the Church. Come out to learn more about the Sacraments that lie at the heart of the Church’s common life, and bring your questions!

This weeks topic will be What is a Sacrament? - an introduction to sacraments and sacramental theology.

Invitation to Centering Prayer

Tuesdays at noon
Wednesday mornings, 10:00 to 10:30 am

Are you drawn to listen more deeply, with ears, eyes, and heart? Are you searching for some way to step outside the noise, the stories, the busyness, and stand in the river of your life without anxiety, without striving, with confidence that the strength enabling you to stand in the flow comes directly from God? If you’ve been longing for deeper spiritual awareness, join us for the practice of Centering Prayer. No experience necessary, no introverted temperament required – only honesty, commitment and a good sense of humour.

Saturday, October 1st

Join us as we near the end of the Season of Creation for a service in which we honour our animal companions as important parts of God’s creation and our lives.

On Saturday, October 1st at 10 am, we will hold a short prayer service with a focus on thanksgiving for our animal friends and prayer for their wellbeing. During the service, you will have the opportunity to bring your pet forward for a special blessing. All are welcome, human and animal!

You can have a photo of your pet blessed if you’re not able to bring them or would prefer not to.

Land Acknowledgment

Creator, you made all people of every land. It is our responsibility to give thanks and respect to those who first occupied this land we are upon. We give thanks to the Wendat, the Anishinabee, the Mississauga of the Credit and the Haudenosaunee, the first people of this land.

We offer our respect to those ancestors who may be interred on this land. We are also thankful for the gifts of the People of the land. Creator let us be of Good Mind to reconcile the mistreatment of this land and to those who have been displaced.

With thankful and respectful hearts, we pray in Your name, Your son the Peacemaker and the Sacred Spirit. Amen
